Hello and welcome! I was Mrs. Congeniality for the Mrs. Arizona 2010 Pageant and 1st Runner up at Mrs. United States Global 2012 and can tell you first hand that being a part of a pageant can be a life changing experience. I had the great honor of traveling throughout the state, meeting wonderful people statewide, and representing Arizona. I’m a stronger, more confident, self-assured, and goal oriented person simply as a result of my participation in the pageant. I truly believe in the personal growth and individual development that is cultivated by one’s participation in pageantry.
I prayed about the opportunity to start this organization and ultimately felt that it would be a wonderful way for me to give back. I feel it is a wonderful opportunity to encourage more women to push themselves to be their personal best! I am very excited to be a part of this program in Arizona!
My focus from the beginning has been for this program to provide a fair environment in which teens and women have the opportunity to better themselves. I hope the pageant encourages the contestants to gain self-awareness, self-confidence, individual pride, and greater social awareness. I hope each contestant improves their ability to communicate effectively, to speak in front of people, and to stand up for what they believe in. I encourage our contestants to find issues they feel strongly about, and to become involved in organizations and causes that speak to their hearts. Each lady who will enter this program has different goals and our staff strives hard to assist each person in their personal quest for excellence. I like to think that each woman will walk away from our program a little more ready to deal with the world around her, and more importantly, the world ahead of her.
My philosophy for the Triumph Over Tragedy USA pageant is not about encouraging women to “win” a pageant, but to encourage women to develop life skills that will ultimately help them win in life by being their personal best in everything they do.

A People’s Choice Award winner will be named in each division. You can vote for your favorite contestant below using your credit card or PayPal account.
$2 = 1 vote* and you can vote as many times as you like or you can enter the full amount of votes you wish to cast at one time. The contestants with the most votes in each division will be named “The People’s Choice Hollywood Stars Award” winners. All proceeds benefit the Tonya Allen Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
It’s very easy, just click the “Donate” button next to the contestant you wish to vote for and then you should be re-directed to our PayPal site. There you will need to enter the amount of votes you wish to submit on behalf of your favorite contestant in the “unit price” box at the top of the page. Click on “update total” to secure your donation amount and then complete your credit card information or log onto your PayPal account to finish the transaction. You should receive an email receipt of your vote from PayPal and all votes will remain completely confidential.
*You can enter as many ”votes” (dollars) that you would like to donate at one time, you do not have to enter $2 each time you want to cast a vote. You can enter the full amount you want to donate for your favorite contestant and each dollar donated will count toward her total number of votes. For example, $20 = 10 votes. The quantity will always be listed as “2″ but the amount of votes is determined by the dollar amount you enter in the “unit price” field.
Online voting ends on July 27, 2013 at 10 AM . There will also be voting opportunities available in the lobby during the pageant.

Let me tell you a little about the pageant weekend…the pageant is scheduled for July 25-27, 2013 in Tempe, AZ. On a Thursday afternoon our delegates check-in. That evening, will host you for a “Welcome Dinner” to meet and greet delegates and many of the city’s business leaders. Friday is spent in rehearsals which leads to the Preliminary Competition in which each delegate will compete in Personality Wear and Evening Gown. Your gown selection is up to you and your own personal choices. Saturday morning is spent in personal interviews with the judges and the Final Show is that Saturday night in which the new Triumph Over Tragedy USA will be crowned.
Each Contestant will compete in three equal phases of preliminary competition:personality wear, evening gown, and interview. The scoring is based on the following:
• Evening Gown: each contestant is evaluated on grace, poise, style, stage presence, the confidence with which she carries herself, and overall-impression.
• Interview: preliminary interviews are personal one-on-one style. You will have four minute interviews with each of the six judges.Its very comfortable and conversational. Contestants are scored on their communication skills, and personality. They are NOT scored on their opinions or personal beliefs.
Each contestant will then each have an on-stage interview. The interview will be conducted by the emcee. She/he will ask them several questions about their bio, or topics related to their bio. The interview will end with one randomly selected question unrelated to their bio, and submitted prior to the show by the panel of judges. After the interviews, the judges will select a winner, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, 3rd runner-up, and 4th runner-up in each age group.
• Pageant Wardrobe:
Each contestant will need rehearsal clothing (sweats, sweatshirts, tennis shoes, etc.), and a pair of jeans for the first day’s activities. They will also need a nice dress or suit for the welcome dinner. The required competition and stage wardrobe is as follows:
• Opening Production Number:
• Glamorous short ‘cocktail’- type dress (above the knee)
• Color options – gold, silver or a combination of gold/silver
• Fully beaded/stoned – or simple and sleek
